Where is the summer going?

DD as Hannah Montana at her "rock star" party!

I had big plans this summer, to get soooo much stitching and quilting done. Well, like many of you that isn't happening. I'm a bit frustrated by that, but I can't complain too much, as I've been getting my house "deep cleaned" and there have been many fun memories made with BBQ's and parties.

My daughter turned 8 this month, my husband and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary. We have had 6 other family members with birthday's in the past two weeks, and Pioneer celebrating in Utah to boot! It's been crazzzzy. I'm ready for it to slow down!

I have managed to finish my June SAL assignment for Shores, but haven't started July's. I did snap a quick picture just so I can prove to you that I did it! The big news is that Terri and I are hosting a SAL and we have an official site set up now. Please check it out at www.sailaway.sal.blogspot.com. We are so excited to be sailing away on August 5th Terri's 50th birthday! If you are one of the official members, I need your e-mail addresses so that I can add you as an author.

This is a short post. Hopefully all is well in your neck of the woods! Take care friends.

What a fun birthday celebration for the kids!

I emailed you with my email address - please let me know if you don't get the email from my work address lynchauto - Thanks for heading up the SAL!

Your Shores looks great! I have fallen off the wagaon again with my Shores - I was trying to work on it a little every now and then but I haven't had it out in several weeks now and it's sinking down in the pile. So much to do so little time .......

Loraine - Your daughter is absolutely adorable. Seeing her in the Hannah Montana get-up reminds me of my daughter at her age. She is a real cutie!!!

And Woo Hoo on Block #5. Congratulations on that block!!!! Now you and I are at about the same place. I haven't touched mine in the past two weeks or so, so you and I can just stitch along with this one (if we can find the time that is).

And thanks for making me a honorary member of the Sailing Away SAL. I wish I was stitching it with all of you because it was really a lot of fun to stitch, but I'll post my finished one when I get a chance and peek in and see how everyone is doing!

Again, congratulations on Block #5!!!

Gosh Loraine, don't know how I missed this post, but I did. Your daughter sure is a sweetheart, hope she had a wonderful birthday. Also hope you and hubby's anniversary was extra-special. Hope things are settling down, so you can have more time to stitch!
